Q. What is Clinics in Motion? A. Clinics in Motion provide e-learning solutions for physiotherapists. The principle component is a new DVD publication of Practical Physiotherapy Examination and Treatment techniques. It is a series of DVDs designed to provide suitably qualified individuals with a reference tool for the diagnosis, treatment and development of clinical reasoning skills in all major areas of physiotherapy practice. Each DVD is supported by an online examinations centre and online workbooks. These e-learning solutions are relevant to trainee physiotherapists as well as those engaged in CPD/CEU activities.
Q. What is on the DVD’s?
A. Every DVD contains a significant amount of material. Generally each DVD you receive will contain the following information:
1. Introduction to Clinical Area 2. Examination Techniques 3. Treatment Techniques 4. Clinical Reasoning- Case Studies 5. Top Tips from leading tutors 6. Extras
Additionally there are some instances where the DVD’s contain the following information:
1. Applied Arthroscopic footage 2. Applied Radiology
Q. What is contained in the booklet?
A. The booklet is a fully referenced resource to accompany your DVD. The booklet contains all the information you should require to gain full viewing pleasure, including how to get the most from your DVD and a full synopsis of the contents of the complete DVD. In addition the booklet contains complete assessment charts of all the case studies on your DVD.
Q. What is MANS©?
A. MANS© is an acronym for Multi-Access Network System. The content of all DVD’s is delivered on a hard drive and this allows larger organisations such as hospitals and universities to download all DVD content to their computer network. This means that all users have access to this extensive visual library of physiotherapy examinations and treatments 24 hours a day.
Q. Who should use Clinics in Motion?
Q. What do I need to view Clinics in Motion?
A. Clinics in Motion can be viewed of any DVD capable playing device. These include any home DVD player, any DVD capable computer or laptop. Each DVD is muti-region, which means that it will play in any part of the world.
Q. What is Multi-Angle Vision ©?
A. Multi-Angle Vision© allows users to watch the DVD footage in up to three angles at the same time. Regularly this feature displays what is happening at a skeletal level, the actual procedure being conducted and the posture the physiotherapist assumes.
Q. How do I switch viewing angles?
A. During certain sections of the DVD you will have a choice of angles to view on. This means that you can choose what camera you want to look at any given time. To change angles simply find the angle button on your remote control and press (Please note that all DVD players will have this feature). If you are watching on a computer, simply press your right mouse button and look for the angle tab. Full examples of the angles and instructions on how to find them are contained in the booklet that accompanies your DVD.
Q. Can I copy the DVD?
Clinics in Motion is copy protected. This means that the discs will not allow the content to be copied. It is an offence to copy these discs without the specific permission of Clinics in Motion. Any unauthorised copying may result in prosecutions is accordance with standard copyright laws.
Q. How do I take the Online Examination?
A. Authorised users can take the online examinations at any time. You need to log into the website and register your details not forgetting your Website Authorisation Code. This will allow you access to the online examination section.
Q. How do I access the Online Workbooks?
A. Authorised users can take the online workbooks at any time. You need to log into the website and register your details not forgetting your Website Authorisation Code. This will allow you access to the online workbooks section.
Q. Where do I find my Website Authorisation Code ?
A. Unique Website Authorisation Codes are printed on the back left hand corner of each DVD just above the barcode.
Q. How much does Clinics in Motion cost?
A. Clinics in Motion offers a range of prices to suit all individual needs. The standard cost of an individual DVD is €99 with a full set costing €449. See our shop for full product listings.These costs are for single users, the cost for multi-user environments is calculated as a licence fee.
