MARK SEXTON - Editor & Clinical Director -BSc (Hons), Lic.Ac., MISCP, MCSP

Mark Sexton is a Chartered Physiotherapist and Acupuncture Licentiate who combines clinical, education and research working interests. His specialist clinical interests are Acupuncture, Manual Therapy, and Exercise and Sports Rehabilitation. In addition to general physiotherapy and acupuncture practice, his clinical and lecturing specialisation is the integration of Manual Therapy, Exercise Therapy and Acupuncture. Mark lectures on the Higher Diploma in Health Studies (Acupuncture) and Masters in Physiotherapy Studies (Acupuncture) courses at University College, Dublin (NUI). He conducts weekend postgraduate courses on his specialist interest (The integration of Acupuncture and Manual Therapy) and is an Occasional Lecturer with the Irish College of General Practitioners on their Postgraduate Diploma courses. In addition he lectures on Yoga, Pilates, and Martial Arts teacher training courses.  Mark is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (UK), the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists, and its clinical interest group Chartered Physiotherapists in Acupuncture, of which he is a founding member and a Committee Officer. Mark graduated from the University of Ulster at Jordanstown with a First Class Honours BSc. in Physiotherapy in 1995. In 1998 Mark graduated from the British College of Acupuncture with a Diploma/Licentiate in Acupuncture. Prior to studying physiotherapy, Mark graduated in 1989 from University College, Dublin with an Honours BSc. in Chemistry, and following this worked for two years as a Research Chemist for a global pharmaceutical company.
